What is a miniature pig?
Miniature pigs have been bred down from the original domestic pig, generally to weigh around 40kg. and stand around
50cm at the shoulder.
The miniature pigs that we breed weigh around 25kg and are the vacinity of 35cm at the shoulder as fully grown adults.
Miniature pigs have a lifespan of about 15 years.
They are very intelligent and clean. These pigs socialise very well with other animals and also their owners,- making
for a perferct pet. They can be harness trained, taught to perform tricks and like a clean dry area for sleeping.
The body temperature of a miniature pig is around 39 degrees celcius and thus do feel the cold during the winter
months. In the warmer months however they do like to wallow and swim. They will cool off in anything that can contain water.
